He was performing and working as a bassist when he developed an interest in animated short films. After Comedy Central acquired his short film “Office Space”, in 1992, he developed “Frog Baseball”.
In there, the characters Beavis and Butt-Head appeared for the first time. After that he co-created the show “King of the Hill” with former writer of “The Simpsons” Greg Daniels in 1995.
This show was also a major hit and was announced as the best TV series of the year by Entertainment Weekly, Time and TV Guide.
In 1999, a film was released based on “Office Space” with the same title. Since 2003 he and fellow animator Don Hertzfeldt has been running an animation festival called “The Animation Show”.
He was awarded Austin Film Festival’s “Outstanding Television Writer Award” by Johnny Hardwick in 2005. He portrayed the role Donnagon Giggles in science fiction family comedy film franchise “Spy Kids”.
His third film “Idiocracy” was released in 2006. The film received some negative reviews for not being screened for critics but performed minor success in box office and gained a cult following.
He next wrote and directed the 2009 comedy film “Extract”. This was his fourth directional job. Judge and his producers set up a production company named“Ternion Productions” so that they can keep Extract bellow the radar of the studio system.
